Now that we’ve finally solved the centuries-old feud about whether clouds or dragons are coolest, we can focus on the winner: dragons! With the How to Train Your Dragon Add-On, dragons are naturally woven into your Survival worlds. That means that wherever you go, whatever biome you saunter past, you’re bound to stumble upon a dragon. And as this is a How to Train Your Dragon Add-On, you will end up face-to-face with the hardy Gronckle, poisonous Deadly Nadder, the sturdy Hideous Zippleback, fearsome Monstrous Nightmare, and, of course, the speedy Night Fury. Each dragon comes with their own, unique personality. Some are hungrier than others and some tend to crave naps or attention. They will also hunt prey and protect their turf. Best you take some inspiration from Hiccup and pluck up some courage!
Bonding with beasts
I hear what you’re saying Team Cloud, and yes, seeing a dragon is awfully similar to seeing a cloud, but you haven’t won yet! Because you can do so much more with dragons. Bond with your favorite dragons and earn their trust. Not only will this give you a fearless friend, but taming dragons also lets you ride them and explore the world from above. Has anyone ever successfully domesticated a cloud? I think not. That’s another point to Team Dragon! You can earn your dragon’s trust in much the same way you earn a cloud's trust – by gifting them food. Also, pro tip from me – don’t approach with a drawn weapon. It’ll end... poorly. Once you’ve earned a dragon's trust, and saddled up, you’ll be able to ride your dragon, further enhancing your bond. Then you can start using your dragon to break blocks and fend off dangers. And as trust builds even further, you’ll be able to fly farther and for longer periods. Eventually, you’ll even be able to use your dragons’ blast attacks – like the Gronckle’s lava spitting or the Monstrous Nightmare’s ability to set fires.
Fly with flair
To fly is to flaunt! That’s a fact right there, and to truly cement yourself as the ruler of the clouds skies, you simply must armor up. Use the Forge – a brand-new crafting table, to craft armor for both you and your dragon, and make it unique by combining different designs with different paints. All so that you and your dragon can match, soar, and attack in style.
